For many nursing students, the graduation ceremony takes a backseat to a different sort of tradition. While no longer officially held at many nursing schools, the pinning ceremony is a time-honored rite of passage in the nursing profession. In this ceremony, graduating students receive a nursing pin, often presented by a special person chosen by the graduate.
While the nursing pinning ceremony is an old custom, it can take on a lot of different forms depending on the school. In some cases, it’s a formal event planned and hosted by the nursing institution. In others, it’s organized entirely by the students and may be a more casual affair.
What all this means is that there’s no one invitation format that works for all pinning ceremonies. To help you find the right tone for your pinning ceremony invites, here are some wording examples of different types.

Class-Wide Invitations

Nursing Quotes
As a finishing touch, you may want to incorporate an inspirational quote. Quotes should go at the beginning or end of your invitation, so the “meaty” information about the event doesn’t get lost. Here are some famous quotes that are fitting for a pinning ceremony.
